ProHumorist’s 2nd Birthday plus July Speedlinks

Wow, so another year has flown by and this blog hits it’s second birthday!! So my blog is now a toddler and is entering its “terrible twos”… oh joy.

I’d just to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has become involved with the community here through their comments. I’d like to thank all my RSS readers, both old and new, and also those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter.

Through this blog I’ve met some great people as well as through my extended reach on Twitter. It’s been a fun journey so far, and I’m keen to see how things develop.

During this past year I got asked to join Speaking Pro Central a community collecting and organizing the best information on the web around the business of speaking. I also made the Top 20 of  a contest to find the Best Coaching Blogs of 2009.

New readers of my blog include Kare Anderson from Moving from Me to We, Laura Bergells, @maniactive on Twitter who runs Maniactive and Lisa Braithwaite from Speak Schmeak

Now on with the speedlinks of some of the posts I’ve read, or re-read, recently:

Again thank you so much for your support.

  2. Hey Lisa,

Thanks for dropping by. Lets see what happens.

  3. Joining the others in wishing you a happy anniversary for a most helpful blog.

You exemplify the power of “priming” people to like you by praising the parts of them (including lucky me) that you like. Shining a spotlight on the best in others is a proven way for them to see the best in you Jason.

It is also a valuable tool for speakers to evoke in their audiences

  4. Happy anniversary Jase! Will be putting up a blog post soon to expose your blog to speakers who are looking to improve their comedy skills.

  5. Hey Kare,

Thanks very much for the wishes. I hadn’t thought of it in that way before. I guess the traits I see in my fellow speakers interest and excite me so much I want to get their ideas seen by others.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks a lot, man. Look forward to the added exposure. I’ll drop by again soon.

    Cheers Guys,

    Jason
